Ohio EdChoice Scholarships

The Good Shepherd Catholic Montessori participates in the Ohio EdChoice Scholarship Program.  More information about this program is available at www.edchoice.ohio.gov.
General guidelines:

• To be eligible for an EdChoice scholarship, the applicant must reside in a qualifying attendance zone (i.e., a neighborhood school currently under “academic watch” with the Ohio Department of Education”).  See “Student Eligibility” section of website for list of qualifying local public school zones.

• EdChoice applicants must first apply for admission to The Good Shepherd Catholic Montessori.  Then, upon admission, our office will assist applicants in the EdChoice application process.
  
  
• In 2009-10, the EdChoice Scholarship amount was $4,200.00.  This is less than the total tuition for The Good Shepherd Catholic Montessori.  If the family earns below 200% of the federal poverty level, no further tuition payments are required.  If the family earns above 200% of the poverty level, the family must either pay or provide service hours for the difference between the EdChoice scholarship amount and the tuition at The Good Shepherd Catholic Montessori.

• Preschool students do not qualify for EdChoice.  Students already enrolled in another private school and homeschooling students (grades K and above) do not qualify for EdChoice.
